Beca Mark

CEO & Founder
Beca is the CEO and founder of Megastar HR, an HR consulting and outsourcing firm located in Sandy, UT. She also serves as the Co-Director of Programs for SHRM’s Salt Lake chapter. For over 20 years, she’s strategically partnered with companies to recruit top talent, drive employee engagement, and proactively mitigate risk. Prior to Megastar HR, she led HR teams as Vice President of HR for Brighton Hospice, Director of HR for Dynatronics, and Risk Manager & Assistant HR Manager for Challenger Schools. Beca received a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) with an emphasis in HR Management from Brigham Young University. She’s passionate about providing next-level HR solutions and supporting companies that are changing the world.

Tegan Nardone

VP of Human Resources
Tegan is driven by her mission to help organizations grow and individuals succeed by partnering top talent with the vision, values, and objectives of the companies we serve. As a lifelong learner, Tegan is always looking for opportunities to grow personally and professionally. This has led her to complete her SHRM-CP, HR Management Certification, and Employment Law micro-certification from the University of Utah, to name a few.

Brittany Steggell

Director of Finance
Being a Hospitality Manager and a General Manager for Cafe Zupas helped Brittany to improve her skills working with a team and developing systems to help the team and company flourish. She is excited to be a part the Megastar HR team and culture, and to implement these skills and more.

Danielle Blackett

Human Resource Director
As Director of HR, Danielle oversees all HR functions. She is a certified HR Project Manager, with extensive experience in employee relations, onboarding, payroll, and compliance. She was previously HR Manager for Harmons Grocery and most recently a Human Resources Generalist for Bristol Hospice, where she supported 2,600+ employees across 60 locations. Danielle strives to facilitate a productive and rewarding experience for leaders and employees. She works closely with our clients, providing best-practice strategic and administrative support to elevate engagement and maximize operations.

Elizabeth Cavanaugh

HR Business Partner
Liz supports many functions in partnership with our clients, not limited to payroll, onboarding, compliance, and talent acquisition. She earned her psychology degree from Eastern Washington University, and recently supported 2,500+ employees as an HR Administrative Assistant. Her additional experience in healthcare and education has prepared her to maximize operations in a broad number of industries. Liz enjoys making connections and learning what others are passionate about. She also loves being outdoors as much as she can, exploring new places, and being a mom to her three girls.

Jennifer Dees

Chief Communications Officer
Jennifer earned her BA in English from Utah Valley University and is SHRM-CP certified. She partners with clients to customize HR policies and other resources to their distinct operations, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance regulations. She loves reading, Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), and learning about the human brain.

Marvi Blandon

Talent Acquisition Manager
Marvi oversees talent acquisition strategy for Megastar HR's clients. Marvi brings 7+ years of industry experience, and is passionate about all things talent strategy, employer branding, building recruiting teams from the group up, and delivering the best candidate experience. Marvi received a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree from Columbia University in New York City. Prior to HR, she was a social worker for 6 years, working with at-risk populations in New York City. Marvi is married and has two little boys who keep her on her toes every day. She is a proud working mom and a strong advocate for working moms in Utah. When she's not working, you will find her working on house projects, hiking, enjoying nature with her family, reading a non-fiction book, and traveling.

Taya Wallace

Director of Compensation
Taya is an HR professional with three years of Onboarding Operations experience. In her Onboarding role, she built and maintained relationships with associates; later, she mentored a team as an Onboarding Supervisor. She has a BS in History, which she leverages to effectively communicate with empathy, build strategy, and improve and streamline processes.

Sam Butler

Director of HR
After receiving his MBA, Sam has spent the last years working in human resources in a variety of fields, including retail, manufacturing, tech, beauty, and healthcare. He is PHR certified and excited to bring use his experience to support all those who work with Megastar HR.

Teri Slaugh

Director of Growth
Teri directs sales and leads Megastar HR's strategic growth initiatives. Having spent her career in B2B sales, she has a strong ability to connect with anyone, partnering to find solutions for their biggest pain points. Her enthusiastic, dive-right-in approach supports Megastar HR's mission to consistently exceed expectations. Teri is also very active in the community, serving as Secretary on the Board of Directors for Salt Lake SHRM, Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Dual Immersion Academy, and as the Executive Director/Founder for her non-profit, which empowers youth through creative expression.
